Volunteers Celebrate in Mobile

On April 21st Covenant’s Volunteers in Mobile were celebrated with a lunch cruise aboard the Harbor Lady. We enjoyed a delicious meal, were graciously thanked for our contributions to Covenant’s mission in Mobile and Baldwin counties, and learned a little about what happens in the port of Mobile. The day was perfect. Smiles flowed freely and the spirit of giving abounded–even the weather cooperated. We had the most beautiful day to leisurely float down the Delta.

Each year, Crystal creates a theme that epitomizes Mobile’s volunteers. This year we celebrated “The Seasons.” As volunteers we give as much as we are able but often that changes like the seasons. Sometimes, our season is short and sometimes we pass through many seasons into years. (It was so wonderful to meet new volunteers and visit with old friends who have been helping for a while.) How much you do isn’t nearly as important as the fact that you do. And the fact that we do is not lost on Covenant. I think we are the most appreciated volunteers out there. We are treated to one special day each year but like the Delta we floated down, Covenant’s appreciation of our efforts flows freely every day throughout every season.

Congratulations to all the award winners and a very big thank you to everyone who is helping Covenant make a difference in the life of someone else.  Thank you Covenant Hospice for your appreciation and gratitude. It is a pleasure serving our community with you! If you’d like to help out in your community go to http://www.covenanthospice.org/VolunteerOpportunities/

  1. What a lovely article from a Mobile volunteer. Thank you for all that you do for Covenant Hospice, Joy! Our organization could not contiue its mission without the dedicated support of volunteers like you.
