Hospice Can Help a Heavy Heart

grief and loss

Sometimes things happen in life where there are no words to describe the sadness of something that has happened. Tragic events occur that leave us confused, hopeless, and looking to others for support. Most certainly this is the case after the recent events in Newtown, Connecticut where we all remain stunned, saddened, and have heavy hearts.

When facing loss it is important to know there are resources that can help and specially trained professionals that can be of assistance. One of the beautiful things about hospice is the support offered by chaplains, social workers, and bereavement specialists who not only support patients who are facing the end of life’s journey, but also to family members, friends, and even the community.

Covenant Hospice regularly facilitates support groups, remembrance ceremonies, and other events that help both children and adults deal with grief. If you are dealing with loss or grief, contact your local Covenant Hospice Branch Office for information on these supportive services.
